Manasarovar lake is one of the highest freshwater lakes in the world and one of the most sacred lakes in Asia. It is located in Ngari (Ali) Prefecture, western Tibet, near Mount Kailash. Lake Manasarovar is often visited together with Mount Kailash, forming one of the most sacred pilgrimage journeys in the Himalayas.
